Fundraising Information
Taking part in an English Channel relay swim is not just a personal challenge; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference. By participating, you have the chance to raise vital funds that support SwimTayka’s mission of providing free swimming lessons and water safety education to children in need. Here’s everything you need to know about fundraising for your relay swim.
Why Fundraise?
Every stroke you take in the Channel helps children around the world learn life-saving water skills. Your fundraising efforts contribute directly to SwimTayka’s programmes, which teach underprivileged children how to swim and be safe in the water. By raising funds, you’re not only achieving your own personal goal but also giving others the gift of safety, confidence, and lifelong skills in the water.
Fundraising Expectations
Each swimmer in the relay is expected to raise a minimum of £1,500 to support SwimTayka’s work. Here’s how your fundraising breaks down:
£750
Will go towards the direct costs of your Channel swim, including registration, boat rental, and support crew.
£750
(or more!) will go directly to SwimTayka’s life-saving programmes, enabling children to access vital swimming lessons.
